That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.


He answered them, “It is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.


“Therefore listen to the parable of the sower.


But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.


Then Jesus commanded His disciples to get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away.


He sent the crowd away, and got into the boat, and went to the region of Magdala.


When He entered the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”


Without a parable He did not speak to them. But when they were alone, He expounded on all things to His disciples.


Immediately He compelled His disciples to get into the boat and to go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the crowd away.


When He had left the people and entered the house, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable.


There were about four thousand who had eaten, and He sent them away.
