For they are kindled like an oven. Their heart burns within them; their anger smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.


“Or else how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.


“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through dry places seeking rest, but finds none.


Then it goes and brings with itself seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be also with this evil generation.”


When it comes, it finds it swept and furnished.


He said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief. And having the money box, he used to steal what was put in it.


Now supper being concluded, the devil had put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him.


After receiving the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”


For there must also be factions among you so that those who are genuine may become evident among you.

They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us. But they went out, revealing that none of them were of us.


You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
