And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same regions and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely possessed by a demon.”


A leper came to Him, pleading with Him and kneeling before Him, saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”


But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the entire truth.


From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. He entered a house and would have no one know it. Yet He could not be hidden.


The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. And she begged Him to cast the demon out of her daughter.


and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
