Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn and Heth,


The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon toward Gerar to Gaza, and then to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.


Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be a haven of ships. His border shall be at Sidon.


He said: You shall rejoice no more, O oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Cyprus; there also you shall have no rest.


He shall not cry out, nor lift up his voice, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.


Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, “I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the midst of the seas,” yet you are a man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God.


“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.


When He entered the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”


Again, He entered Capernaum after some days. And it was reported that He was in the house.


All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”


For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of Him, and came and fell at His feet.


Again, departing from the region of Tyre and Sidon, He came to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of the Decapolis.


Likewise, the good works of some are evident, but those that are not cannot be hidden.
