Then the servant told Isaac all the things he had done.


Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother; James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother;


He ordained twelve to be with Him, and to be sent out to preach,


When his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse and laid it in a tomb.


The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name.”


The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”


When the hour had come, He and the twelve apostles with Him sat down.


It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, who told these things to the apostles.


When it was day, He called for His disciples, and of them He chose twelve, whom He named apostles:


When the apostles returned, they told Jesus all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.


Then they cast lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. So he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
