Look down from heaven and see, from Your holy and glorious habitation. Where are Your zeal and Your strength? The stirrings of Your heart and Your mercies toward me are restrained.


Will You refrain Yourself from these things, O  Lord? Will You hold Your peace and afflict us beyond measure?


Even when I cry for help, He shuts out my prayer.


They sent their disciples to Him with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God truthfully, and are swayed by no one. For You do not regard the person of men.


His disciples went to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”


A great windstorm arose, and the waves splashed into the boat, so that it was now filling the boat.


He rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” Then the wind ceased and there was a great calm.


They came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.


Jacob’s well was there. Jesus, therefore, being exhausted from His journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.


Therefore, in all things it was necessary for Him to be made like His brothers, so that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.


For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was in every sense tempted like we are, yet without sin.


Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.
