And leaving Nazareth, He came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,


He entered a boat, crossed over, and came into His own city.


Instead he went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news around, so that Jesus could no more openly enter the city, but was out in remote places. And they came to Him from everywhere.


Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no room to receive them, not even at the door. And He preached the word to them.


Then they entered a house, and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat bread.


When He had left the people and entered the house, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable.


From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. He entered a house and would have no one know it. Yet He could not be hidden.


When He had entered the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”


He said to them, “You will surely say to Me this proverb, ‘Physician, heal Yourself. Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ”


And behold, some men brought in a bed a man who was paralyzed. They searched for ways to bring him in and lay him before Him.


When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him, pleading that He would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.


When this sound occurred, the crowd came together and were confounded, because each man heard them speaking in his own language.
