My friends and my companions stand aloof from my affliction, and relatives stand far off.


Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew, the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus; and Lebbaeus, whose name was Thaddaeus;


Is He not the carpenter’s son? Is His mother not called Mary? And are not His brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?


Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.


At the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.


Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where He was laid.


When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might go and anoint Him.


Now when Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.


He tried to see who Jesus was, but was not able from the crowd, because he was little in stature.


But all those who knew Him and the women accompanying Him from Galilee stood at a distance, seeing these things.


Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife as do other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?


I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.
