Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and the entire congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native in the land, when he blasphemes the name, then he shall be put to death.


Then they said, “What further testimony do we need? We have heard it from His own mouth.”


The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God!”


So the Jews sought even more to kill Him, because He not only had broken the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.


If a man has committed a sin worthy of death and is executed, and you hang him on a tree,
