He said to him, “Did my heart not go with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to take money, and to take garments, olives and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?


They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.


Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests


and said to them, “What will you give me if I hand Him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.


Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Him to them.


On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”


Then Satan entered into Judas, called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve.


For the love of money is a root of all evil. While coveting after money, some have strayed from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.


Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily after the error of Balaam for a reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
