He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.


Great crowds followed Him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.


John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.


John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist. And he ate locusts and wild honey.


These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.


John also was baptizing in Aenon toward Salim, because much water was there. And people came and were baptized.


He was a burning and a shining lamp, and you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.


Many who believed came confessing and telling their deeds.


Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.


Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.


Then Joshua said to Achan, “O my son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give Him praise! Tell me what you have done! Do not hold back anything from me.”
