She said to Elijah, “What do I have to do with you, O you man of God? Have you come to remind me of my sin and to kill my son?”


And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to depart out of their region.


Then they began to plead with Him to depart out of their region.


“He who listens to you listens to Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”


When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”


When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have You to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I plead with You, do not torment me.”


Those who had seen it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.


Now the man from whom the demons had departed asked Him if he could stay with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,


Whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”


For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.


So they came and entreated them. And they brought them out, asking them to leave the city.


Now, therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we will die.


The men of Beth-shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”
