“The Lord said to him, ‘How?’ “And he said, ‘I will go and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ “And He said, ‘You will be successful and persuade him. Go forth, and do so.’


Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.


The Lord said to the Adversary, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against his person.” So the Adversary departed from the presence of the Lord.


The Lord said to the Adversary, “Very well, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”


God has spoken once; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.


who sit among the graves and lodge in the monuments; who eat swine’s flesh, and the broth of abominable things is in their vessels;


He who kills a bull is as if he kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine’s blood; he who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations;


the pig, though it does have a divided hoof (that is, split-hoofed), yet it does not chew the cud, is unclean to you;


“Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn around and attack you.


And they begged Him not to command them to go out into the abyss.


Then the demons went out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd ran violently down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.


Jesus answered, “You would have no power at all over Me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”


You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.


When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be set free from his prison
