Get wisdom; get understanding; do not forget or turn away from the words of my mouth.


But you are those who forsake the Lord, who forget My holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who furnish the drink offering for Destiny.


When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one who received seed beside the path.


While he sowed, some seeds fell beside the path, and the birds came and devoured them.


These are those beside the path, where the word is sown. But when they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word which is sown in their hearts.


“Now the parable means this: The seed is the word of God.


Those on the rock are the ones who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root, for they believe for a while, then in the time of temptation fall away.


“A sower went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.


The great dragon was cast out, that ancient serpent called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
