The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a gluttonous man, a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”


For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?


When the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”


As He spoke, a Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat.


On the Sabbath they watched Him as He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees to eat bread.


But the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.”


When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”


Then Levi made Him a great feast in his house. And there was a group of many tax collectors and others who sat down with them.


For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine. But you say, ‘He has a demon.’


But wisdom is acknowledged as righteous by all her children.”


One of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. So He went to the Pharisee’s house and sat down for supper.


They prepared a supper for Him there. Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him.


Both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
