Son of man, those who inhabit these wastes in the land of Israel are saying, “Abraham was one, yet he inherited the land. But to us who are many, the land has been given for an inheritance.”


“Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing its fruits.


Therefore, bear fruit worthy of repentance,

The scribes and the Pharisees began to question, “Who is He who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”


They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s seed and have never been in bondage to anyone. Why do You say, ‘You shall be set free’?”


They answered Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.


but declared first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do works proving their repentance.


Therefore the promise comes through faith, so that it might be by grace, that the promise would be certain to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all


nor are they all children because they are descendants of Abraham, but “In Isaac shall your descendants be called.”


being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.
