Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to His disciples; and the disciples gave them to the crowds.


He took the seven loaves and the fish, gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to His disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowd.


As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take and eat. This is My body.”

But they urged Him, saying, “Stay with us. For it is nearly evening and the day is far spent.” So He went in to stay with them.


Then they reported what had happened on the way, and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.


Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them, and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.


Jesus then took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; and likewise, they distributed the fish, as much as they wanted.


They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers.


And continuing daily with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,


When he had said this, he took some bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all. And when he had broken it, he began to eat.
