“You shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who defiles it will surely be put to death, for whoever does any work on it, that person will be cut off from among his people.


When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might go and anoint Him.


Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices they had prepared.


but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor the foreigner that is within your gates, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
