Jesus answered, “You err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.


But Jesus called them together, and said, “You know that those who are appointed to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.


Jesus answered them, “Do you not err, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?


“The master commended the dishonest steward, because he had acted prudently. For the sons of this age are wiser in their own generation than the sons of light.


Therefore watch always and pray that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”


and come out—those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.


I have hope in God that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust, which they also expect.


Then they departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.


This is evidence that God’s judgment, being righteous, will count you worthy of the kingdom of God for which you are suffering.


Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured and did not accept deliverance, so that they might obtain a better resurrection.
