And if he comes to see me, he speaks vain words; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; when he goes out, he tells it.


They only conspire to cast him down from his high position; they delight in lies, they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly.    Selah


for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.


Then how much better is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”


They watched Him to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.


As He spoke, a Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat.


And behold, there was a man before Him who had dropsy.


When He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation.


They watched Him and sent out spies who pretended to be righteous men, that they might seize Him in His words to hand Him over to the power and authority of the governor.


The scribes and the Pharisees watched Him to see whether He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against Him.


There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.


But a Pharisee in the Sanhedrin named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law honored by all the people, stood and ordered the apostles to be put outside for a little while.
