Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will punish her graven images, and the mortally wounded shall groan through all her land.


They say to their mothers, “Where is grain and wine?” when they faint like a wounded man in the streets of the city, as their life is poured out on their mothers’ bosom.


For I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh so that he groans before him with the groanings of a wounded man.


Now by chance, a priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.


Taking the twelve, He said, “Listen! We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished,


When He had said this, He went before them, ascending up to Jerusalem.
