19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “O my son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give Him praise! Tell me what you have done! Do not hold back anything from me.”

He said, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah said, “They have seen everything in my house. There is nothing in my storehouses that I did not show them.”


Then Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the Lord. So they ate for the appointed seven days, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord God of their fathers.


I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not conceal. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.   Selah


For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.


He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.


I will make a man more rare than fine gold, and mankind than the golden wedge of Ophir.


Give glory to the Lord your God, before He causes darkness and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and while you look for light, He turns it into the shadow of death and makes it gross darkness.


And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, “Alas, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping His covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments.


Were there not any found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner?”


So again they called the man who was blind and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this Man is a sinner.”


for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.


in gentleness instructing those in opposition. Perhaps God will grant them repentance to know the truth,


Older men should be sober, serious, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience.


for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God.


Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed, I sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel. This is what I did:


Men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.


Then Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him, and said, “I indeed tasted a little honey with the end of the staff that was in my hand. Here I am. I must die.”


Therefore you will make images of your tumors and images of your mice that ravage the land. And you will give glory to the God of Israel. Perhaps He will lighten His hand off of you, even from off of your gods and from off of your land.
