As they traveled, the terror of God was on the cities that were around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.


Then even the valiant one, whose heart is like that of a lion, will completely despair, for all of Israel knows that your father is a warrior, and those who are with him are brave.


Then he returned to the man of God, he and all his company. He came and stood before him, and he said, “Behold, I know that there is no God in all the land, except in Israel. Now take a gift from your servant.”


For the Lord had caused the Aramean camp to hear the sound of chariots, horses, even the sound of a large army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to come against us.”


When all our enemies heard it and all the surrounding nations saw it, they were tremendously humbled. They perceived that, because of our God, this work had been accomplished.


In each and every province as well as in each and every city, wherever the king’s edict and his decree reached, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast, and a holiday. Furthermore, many of the people of the land professed to be Jews because the dread of the Jews fell on them.


For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He will stand at last on the earth;


The wicked will see it and be angry; he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked will perish.


The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth has He given to the sons of men.


Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods, for in the matter in which they treated the people insolently, He was above them.”


I will send My fear before you, and I will throw into panic all the people to whom you shall come. I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.


Though one who sins may do evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they stand in reverence before Him.

All people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.


When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the Israelites.


By faith the prostitute Rahab, when she received the spies with peace, did not perish with those who did not believe.


Our hearts melted when we heard these things, and no man had any breath in him because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.


They said to Joshua, “The Lord has surely given the whole land into our hands! Indeed, all the inhabitants of the land melt in terror before us.”


Before the spies went to sleep, Rahab went up to them on the roof.

They said to him, “We, your slaves, have come from a very distant land because of the name of the Lord your God, for we heard news of Him and all He did in Egypt


The other man responded, “This is none other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash the Israelite. God has given Midian and the whole camp into his hands.”
