But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.


The border turns west of Baalah to Mount Seir, crosses to the northern slope of Mount Jearim (that is, Kesalon), descends to Beth-shemesh, and crosses to Timnah.


The border touches Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, then extends to the Jordan: sixteen cities and their villages.


This is the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali according to their clans: the cities and their villages.


Naphtali did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh or Beth-anath, so they live among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land. The Canaanites of Beth-shemesh and Beth-anath became slave laborers for them.
