They went up by the Negev and came to Hebron where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the sons of Anak, were (now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt).


The exception will be Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He shall see it, and to him I will give the land upon which he has walked, and to his children, because he has wholly followed the Lord.”


Every place where the soles of your feet tread will be yours. Your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon, from the river, the Euphrates River, as far as the Mediterranean Sea.

They gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said, and he drove out the three sons of Anak.
