When Aram saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they assembled together.


Lord, how my foes have multiplied! Many rise up against me!


They saw it, and so they were astounded; they were troubled; they took to flight.


Be broken, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces. And give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces.


So these kings went out with all their armies, people as numerous as grains of sand on the seashore, with a large number of horses and chariots.


The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for about this time tomorrow I will make them dead before Israel. Hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”


they gathered together as one to wage war against Joshua and Israel.


For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, who go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
