39 They captured it, its king, and all its surrounding towns and struck them with the edge of the sword. They destroyed all who lived in them, and no survivor was left. As he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir and its king as they had done to Libnah and its king.

So Jehu struck all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel and all his great men, his confidants, and his priests, until he left him no survivor.


The house of Jacob shall be a fire, the house of Joseph a flame, but the house of Esau stubble; they shall burn them and consume them, and there shall be no survivors from the house of Esau, for the Lord has spoken.


So the Lord our God delivered Og, the king of Bashan, with all his people, into our hands also, and we struck him down until there was no survivor remaining.


King Horam of Gezer came up to help Lachish, but Joshua attacked him and his people until he did not have a single survivor left.
