I will judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged. And I will bring on you the blood of fury and jealousy.


But righteous men shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands.


The ones who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the assembly.


And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where Christ should be born.


Early in the morning He returned to the temple. All the people came to Him, and He sat down and taught them.

Being convicted by their conscience, those who heard it went out one by one, beginning with the eldest even to the last. Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When they had stood them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”


So then, she will be called an adulteress if she marries another man while her husband lives. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she would not be an adulteress if she marries another man.
