After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.


Then Jesus said to them, “Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. He who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.


Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands and that He came from God and was going to God,


“Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek Me. And as I said to the Jews, so now I tell you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’


of righteousness, because I am going to My Father, and you will see Me no more;


Therefore you now have sorrow. But I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.


I came from the Father and have come into the world. As I said, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.”


But now I am going to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’


“But now I am coming to You, and I say these things in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.


And now, O Father, glorify Me in Your own presence with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.


Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.


to whom He presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, appearing to them for forty days, and speaking concerning the kingdom of God.


Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
