And He left them and went out of the city into Bethany, and He lodged there.


Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. When He had looked around at everything, as the hour was now late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.


Then He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.


And behold, a woman in the city, who was a sinner, having learned that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment,


Now a man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.


When He had said this, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”


He who was dead came out, his hands and feet wrapped with grave clothes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”


Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up to Jerusalem from the country before the Passover to purify themselves.


On the next day a great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.


Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.


When many of the Jews learned that He was there, they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
