Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not a prophet of the Lord here whom we can ask?”


Cease, my son, to hear instruction, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.


He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. The measure you give will be measured for you, and to you who hear will more be given.


Take heed therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given. And whoever has not, from him will be taken even what he thinks he has.”


I have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also bring them, and they will hear My voice. There will be one flock and one shepherd.


When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.


For the time will come when people will not endure sound teaching, but they will gather to themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, having itching ears,


They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us. But they went out, revealing that none of them were of us.


I have written to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.


I know your works, your labor and your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles, but are not, and have found them to be liars.
