Remember, O  Lord, against the Edomites the day of Jerusalem, who said, “Raze it, raze it, to its foundation!”


But they shall swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines towards the west; they shall plunder the sons of the east together; they shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites shall obey them.


The Lord shall utterly destroy the gulf of the Egyptian sea, and with His mighty wind He shall shake His hand over the Euphrates River, and shall strike it into seven streams, and make men walk over in sandals.


Also Edom will become a desolation; everyone who goes by it will be astonished, and will hiss at all its wounds.


May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,” the inhabitant of Zion will say; and, “May my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,” Jerusalem will say.


Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, you who dwell in the land of Uz! The cup shall also pass to you; you shall become drunk and strip yourself bare.
