11 Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has also been undisturbed, like wine on its dregs, and he has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, nor has he gone into captivity. Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent has not changed.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorn of those who are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.


God will hear and afflict them, even He who sits enthroned from of old.    Selah Because they do not change, therefore they do not fear God.


For the turning away of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.


We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud, even of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath; but his lies shall not be so.


The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly despoiled, for the Lord has spoken this word.


In this mountain the Lord of Hosts shall prepare for all people a lavish feast, a feast of aged wines, choice pieces full of marrow, and refined, aged wines.


I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, “I will not listen!” This has been your manner from your youth, that you have not obeyed My voice.


Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will send to him those who tip vessels, and they will tip him over, and will empty his vessels and break his bottles.


We have heard of the pride of Moab (he is very proud), of his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.


“Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me and crushed me; he has made me an empty vessel. He has swallowed me up like a dragon; he has filled his belly with my delicacies, he has cast me out.


She is desolate, empty, and waste! Hearts melt away, and knees shake; pain is in all the loins, and all their faces grow pale.


For the Lord is restoring the prominence of Jacob, even the prominence of Israel, for others have certainly laid waste their vines.

And I have a great anger for those nations who are at ease, for while I was angry but a little, they helped to increase evil.
