For the Lord of Hosts, who planted you, has pronounced disaster against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke Me to anger in offering incense to Baal.


All who found them have devoured them, and their adversaries said, “We are not guilty, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.”


But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and farmers.


But if you will not listen to Me, and will not do all these commandments,


But it will happen, if you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, by being careful to do all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.


Then My anger will burn against them on that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they will be devoured, and many disasters and troubles will befall them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is not among us?’


When the Lord saw it, He despised them, because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.
