For Topheth has been long prepared, indeed, for the king it has been prepared. He has made it deep and large, a pile of fire with much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.


and say to them: Thus says the Lord of Hosts: Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel that cannot be made whole again; and they will bury them in Topheth until there is no other place to bury.


Then go out to the Valley of Ben-hinnom, which is by the entry of the Potsherd Gate, and proclaim there the words that I will tell you,


The border rises to the Valley of Ben-hinnom, to the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem), then rises to the top of the hill west of the Valley of Ben-hinnom, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.
