10 Thus says the Lord to this people: Even so they have loved to wander; they have not restrained their feet. Therefore, the Lord does not accept them; He will now remember their iniquity and punish their sins.

She said to Elijah, “What do I have to do with you, O you man of God? Have you come to remind me of my sin and to kill my son?”


I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word.


For forty years I loathed that generation, and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they do not know My ways.”


But go now, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My angel will go before you. Nevertheless in the day when I punish, I will indeed punish them for their sin.”


Why do you go about so much to change your way? You also shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assyria.


Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the Lord your God and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice, says the Lord.


They shall teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.


To what purpose does incense from Sheba come to Me, and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor are your sacrifices sweet to Me.


Why then is this people of Jerusalem turned away by a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.


It shall be the confidence of the house of Israel no more, bringing to mind the iniquity of their having turned to Egypt. But they shall know that I am the Lord God.


My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they called to the Most High, none at all exalt Him.


I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath.


Woe to them, for they have fled from Me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against Me! Though I would redeem them, yet they speak lies against Me.


but they did not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds surround them; they are before My face.


For the sacrifices of My offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but the Lord does not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt.


They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity, He will punish their sins.


You alone have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.


Though you offer Me burnt offerings or your grain offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard the offerings of your fattened animals.


For I will be merciful toward their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”


Thus says the Lord of Hosts, ‘I remember what Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
