You water the mountains from Your upper chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.

It is He who causes the mist to ascend from the ends of the earth, who makes lightning for the rain, and brings forth the wind from His treasuries.


who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains.


The Lord thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

Are there any among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Is it not You, O  Lord our God? Therefore, we will wait upon You, for You have done all these things.


Thus I will do to this place and to the inhabitants, says the Lord, and even make this city as Topheth.


They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”

The One who forms the mountains and creates the wind, who reveals His thoughts to man, who turns the darkness into dawn and strides on the heights of the earth — the Lord, the God of Hosts, is His name.


Ask for rain from the Lord during the season of the latter spring rains. And the Lord will make the storm winds; and He will give them showers of rain; all will have vegetation in the field.
