“Man, as a rotten thing, decays, as a garment that is moth eaten.


When with rebukes You correct man for sin, You consume like a moth what is precious to him; surely every man is mere vapor.   Selah


Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he who condemns me? Behold, they all shall grow old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.


For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but My righteousness shall be forever and My salvation from generation to generation.


As the partridge sits on eggs which it has not laid, so is he who gets riches, but not justly; it will forsake him in the midst of his days, and in the end he will be a fool.


Therefore I will be like pus to Ephraim and like rottenness to the house of Judah.


Sell your possessions and give alms. Provide yourselves bags that do not grow old, an unfailing treasure in the heavens, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.


For if a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your assembly, and also a poor man in ragged clothing comes in,


to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away, kept in heaven for you,
