Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”


Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.


And I said in my heart, “Come, and I will test you with selfish pleasures; enjoy your desires.” And notice that this too is vanity.


It shall be: as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.


So now I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be consumed; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down.


The time has come, the day has drawn near. Do not let the buyer rejoice, or the seller mourn, for wrath is against all their multitude.


those who weep, as though they did not weep; those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; those who buy, as though they possessed nothing;


Come now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
