Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit.


For I say to you that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will in no way enter the kingdom of heaven.


John answered, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none. And he who has food, let him do likewise.”


But he who hears and does not obey is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently. Immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”


and made no distinction between them and us, and purified their hearts by faith.


Even Simon himself believed. And when he was baptized, he continued with Philip and was amazed as he watched the miracles and signs which were done.


You have neither part nor share in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.


Circumcision indeed is of value if you keep the law, but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.


Through it you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.

Now the goal of this command is love from a pure heart, and from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.


For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable in all things, holding promise for the present life and also for the life to come.


They profess that they know God, but in their deeds they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and worthless for every good work.


This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you constantly to affirm, so that those who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to everyone.
