In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria for twenty years.


It will not be necessary for you to fight in this conflict. Take your positions, stand, and observe the deliverance of the Lord for you, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be filled with terror. Tomorrow, go out before them, and the Lord will be with you.”


Therefore, thus says the Lord God of Hosts: O My people who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and shall lift up his staff against you, after the manner of Egypt.


For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. Yet you were not willing,


For the Egyptians shall help in vain and to no purpose. Therefore, I have called her, “Rahab who has been exterminated.”


Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you.”


Isaiah said to them, “Thus you shall say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord: Do not be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.


Do not fear, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you, says the Lord and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.


In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not wage war against it.


For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Now within sixty-five years Ephraim shall be broken so that it is not a people.


The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.


For before the child knows how to cry “My father” and “My mother,” the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.


Because this people refuses the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices in Rezin and the son of Remaliah,


It is good that a man should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.


I destroyed some of you, as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a firebrand plucked out of the fire; yet you did not return to Me, says the Lord.


For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it delays, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay.


And the Lord said to the Adversary, “The Lord rebuke you, Adversary! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a burning brand taken out of the fire?”


Do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet.


and he shall say to them, “Hear, O Israel, you approach today to do battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted. Do not fear, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them.


David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
