So David assembled all Israel, from Shihor in Egypt as far as the entrance to Hamath, in order to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.


The papyrus reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and everything sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.


Who has planned this against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?


How blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out freely the ox and the donkey.


And now what are you doing in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of the Nile? Or what are you doing in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?


When your wares went out by sea, you filled many peoples; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.


With your wisdom and with your understanding, you have obtained riches for yourself, and have obtained gold and silver into your treasuries;


For you have taken My silver and My gold, and you have carried off My finest treasures to your temples.


For the land which you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt from where you came, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your foot like a vegetable garden,


(from the Shihor east of Egypt northward to the boundary of Ekron, which is counted as Canaanite; the cities of the five Philistine governors: Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and also the Avvites’ lands.
