9 Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever prudent, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the just will walk in them; but the transgressors stumble in them.

Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be treated like the wicked; far be it from You. Should not the Judge of all the earth do right?”


The righteous also will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger.


Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will consider the lovingkindness of the Lord.


Therefore I esteem all Your precepts to be right; I hate every false way.


I know, O  Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.


Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the paths to Zion.


They go from strength to strength; every one of them appears in Zion before God.


The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the upright, but destruction to those who do evil.


The wise of heart will be called prudent, and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.


But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until the full daytime.


But the destruction of the transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.


He shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, nor shall he respect what his fingers have made, either the groves or the images.


The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.


Then you shall call upon Me, and you shall come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.


Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and burned up like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?


When they come there, they shall take away all the detestable things and all the abominations from it.


Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not right.” Hear now, O house of Israel. Is not My way right? Are not your ways not right?


Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean. From all your filthiness and from all your idols, I will cleanse you.


Many shall be purified and made white and tried. But the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.


The Lord is righteous in her midst; He does no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He does not fail, but the unjust knows no shame.


I will make strong the house of Judah, and will deliver the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be like I had never rejected them; for I am the Lord their God, and I will respond to them.


The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a gluttonous man, a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”


Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined to cause the fall and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign which will be spoken against,


Blessed is he who does not fall away on account of Me.”


If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin. But now have they seen and hated both My Father and Me.


Therefore Pilate said to Him, “Then are You a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”


He who is of God hears God’s words. Therefore, you do not hear them, because you are not of God.”


Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.”


“You son of the devil, enemy of all righteousness, full of deceit and of all fraud, will you not cease perverting the right ways of the Lord?


So then, the law is holy and the commandment is holy and just and good.


He is the rock; His work is perfect; for all His ways are just. He is a God of faithfulness and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.


They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of saints!
