After that his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel, so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.


Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from His presence. None remained except the tribe of Judah.


The Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, afflicted them, and gave them into the hand of plunderers until He had cast them out of His presence.


until the Lord removed Israel from His presence as He had said by all His servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their land to Assyria until this day.


Therefore I will yet contend with you, says the Lord, and with your sons’ sons I will contend.


Now the end has come upon you, and I will send My anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense upon you all your abominations.


Now I will shortly pour out My fury upon you, and accomplish My anger upon you; and I will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense you for all your abominations.


Hear the word of the Lord, O Israelites, for the Lord has a dispute with the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth or mercy, and no knowledge of God in the land.


It will be like people, like priest. I will punish them for their ways and reward them for their deeds.


Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they have rejected the law of the Lord, and have not kept His commandments. The lies which their fathers followed have led them astray.


Hear, mountains, the indictment of the Lord, O enduring foundations of the earth— that the Lord has an indictment against His people, and against Israel He will dispute.


For before the children had been born, having done neither evil nor good, so that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but through Him who calls,
