Twelve lions stood on the sides of the six steps, and there was no other like it in any kingdom.


And there were six steps and a gold footstool attached to the throne, and on each side at the place of the seat were armrests with two lions standing beside the armrests.


Now when she saw as she had waited that her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps and made him a young lion.


For I will be like a lion to Ephraim and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, Myself, will tear and go away. I will carry off, and no one will rescue.


Their deeds do not allow them to return to their God; for a spirit of harlotry is in their midst, and they do not know the Lord.


The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which when it passes through, tramples and mauls, without rescuer.


Behold, a people rises up as a lioness, and lifts himself up as a lion; it shall not lie down until it eats the prey and drinks the blood of the slain.”


He crouches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who will stir him up? “Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.”


Then comes the end when He will deliver up the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.


Of Gad he said: Blessed be he who enlarges Gad; he dwells as a lion and tears an arm and the crown of a head.


Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”
