He turned himself away from them and wept, but then turned back to them again and spoke with them. Then he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes.


And he said to his brothers, “My money has been returned. Here it is in my sack!” Then their hearts sank, and they were afraid, saying to one another, “What is this that God has done to us?”


Then Jacob their father said to them, “You have bereaved me of my children! Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you will take Benjamin away. All these things are against me.”


And may God Almighty give you mercy before the man, so that he may send away your other brother, along with Benjamin. As for me, if I am bereaved, I am bereaved.”


We have also brought additional money with us to buy food. We cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.”


Then the Spirit came upon Amasai the captain of the officers, and he said, “We are for you, David, and with you, son of Jesse. Peace, peace to you, and peace to the one helping you, for your God helps you.” So David welcomed them and appointed them as captains of the troops.


Now some from Manasseh joined forces with David when he came with the Philistines for battle against Saul, but they did not help them. For after taking counsel, the lords of the Philistines sent him away, saying, “It will be our heads if he falls back to his lord Saul.”

As they were saying this, Jesus Himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be unto you.”


Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.


On the evening of that first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”


So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you.”


After eight days His disciples were again inside with the doors shut, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”


The old man said, “Do not worry. I will take care of whatever you need. Just do not spend the night in the city square.”


Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you. Do not be afraid. You will not die.”


And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity, ‘Peace be to you and peace to your house, and to all that you have, peace.
