And he said, “Come in, blessed of the Lord. Why do you stand outside? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”


Now his brothers went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem.


Joseph also remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. He said to them, “You are spies! You came to see the nakedness of the land!”


They envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron, the holy priest of the Lord.


Then I observed that all labor and skill of work come one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.


The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.


Lord, Your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.


At this point the matter ended. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me much, and my countenance changed in me, but I kept the matter in my heart.

Do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “He yearns jealously for the spirit that lives in us” ?
