He removed that day the male goats that were striped and spotted and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the brown ones among the sheep, and gave them into the care of his sons.


Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, “Get me this girl for my wife.”


Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to commune with him.
