The messengers returned to Jacob, saying, “We went to your brother Esau. He is coming to meet you, and what is more, four hundred men are with him.”


So Esau returned that day making his way back to Seir.


Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatever you say to me I will give.


They said, “You have saved our lives. Let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s slaves.”


Then David said to Ziba, “Behold, all that belonged to Mephibosheth is now yours.” Ziba replied, “I bow before you. May I find favor in your sight, my lord the king.”


Then she said, “May I find favor in your eyes, my lord, for you have comforted me and have spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not like one of your servant girls.”


And she said, “Let your handmaid find grace in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was not sad as before.


Ask your young men and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we have come on a good day. Please give whatever you find at hand to your servants, and to your son David.’ ”
