Bilhah conceived and gave Jacob a son.


Bilhah, Rachel’s maid, conceived again and gave Jacob a second son.


And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s maidservant, were Dan and Naphtali.


Vindicate me, O  Lord, my God, according to Your righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me.


Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly people; deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!


So I bought a waistband according to the word of the Lord and put it on my loins.


Therefore I will scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.


O  Lord, You have seen the wrong done to me; judge my case.


Of the sons of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war,


And these must stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.


Of Dan he said: Dan is a lion’s whelp; he will leap forth from Bashan.
